Easter Egg & Friends Painting Project For Kids 5

I enjoy decorating for Easter. The colors of Easter decorations are so bright, sunny, and warm. Just like I like the weather to be! Plus who doesn’t like a few little baby chicks and sweet bunnies around to add some fun to a room? This Easter Egg & Friends Painting Project for Kids turned out to be just that. Not only was a resourceful and fun way to make an easy decoration for this Spring holiday, but it turned out beautiful.

The first step is to form the toilet paper roll. It was simple, I just bent a crease on the top and rounded out the bottom. It stayed for the most part. If not, just reform it during the project.

Then I poured out some paint, Pink, Blue, & Purple, and mixed them with white.
{{ That is why I like the 10 pack of Crayola Washable Kid’s Paint.. it comes with white! }}

Spread the colors out so that the toilet paper roll will fit within the paint.
Dip tp roll into paint, then press onto paper. We put ours randomly to incorporate all of the colors in a collage style. You could do it in stripes or blocks. Use your imagination!

For the chick and bunny we did the same thing, on a separate piece of paper (so that we could cut it out).
Then I just added the face, ears, feet, wings, etc.
When the paint was dry, we glued the chick and bunny to the corner, where we thought it looked best.

I had an extra frame that wasn’t being used.. following the recycle-reuse theme here. We cut it to fit the size of the frame and viola. We have a beautiful piece of Easter Decor.

Since the frame is one that wasn’t being used, I’m going to keep this art in the frame and store it for years to come.
It will be something that I can look back in years and remember my sweet little 4 year old learning to love crafting like I do! Precious memories!
